Probably 39 -40 or warmer in the shallow bays..... I fished P.I.last week 37.-39.5 degrees. Pymy is definitely warm enough to catch perch and  crappie and gills in the shallows. I know several guys that are going well, especially on perch.

My legs are cold, chilly and a stiff breeze then rain. Thawing out now next to wood burner with some Bird Dog. A old man saw I saw on way out didn't have any luck so I made his day.

So the past few days of been fishing without issues minus the leaky waders..... today me and my buddy are fishing along with another guy doing pretty well well here comes the Pittsburgh boys in the kayaks no big deal we are fishing this tree I catch finally a dandy slab well paddles down now come right in proceed to fish said tree. Ok the wind is blowing let's paddle up and drift right threw the hole and ruin the trickle of a bite we had๐Ÿ˜ค I'm getting pretty ****ed it's one thing to show up and drop anchor and fish but don't be these guys.... they proceed to talk about the giant gizzard shad (crappies They say) all over swirling around lol they obviously had no idea what they where doing so I preceded to say a few choice words pull up my stringer full of fish and walk to the truck if your reading this kayak Jimmys I ment every word I said your idiots and I hope you had fun casting minnows off dredging bottom below the fish, this was hands down the worst experience of had fishing haha kinda comical..... iv meet quite a few people on here and they know I'm a decent guy willing to help with information, even the guy we talked with at the truck but these 2 ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyhow this boat full of blue-coats started drifting down through us drifting parting us... me not missing words much and this guy in a boat drifting with us says Iโ€™ll handle this . He takes out his cell phone and started taking picture , I said ok what are you doing he said going to make them internet stars ...and they left .... lol. ... guess they donโ€™t like their pictures taken ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘

And all those shad I think those are crappies! How don't you know what your fishing for! it's Ok I got plenty of fresh fish for the cold spell and they will be back to work ๐Ÿ˜Ž all that was missing was a ic light and a pens hat

Was that anybody we know fishing mid lake just up stream from the old Jamestown Marina Tues 4/2?

How about putting in from the Espeyville launch at the causeway?

Anybody gonna try the Crappie tournament on the 27th?

John,I fish yesterday(Tuesday) started at 8am.......terrible,cold and windier than the weather man said. Son and I caught 2 fish till 2pm. At 2 pm moved the boat 50 yards of shore and the party started..... from 2 til 6 pm 78 perch and giant gills decided to become fish tacos....lol. The perch are spawned out already..... the crappie bite was non-existent,though we did  catch about 20 dinks 8-9 " fish.....  cold front shout them down... I know 4 walleye where caught and channel cats where also caught by some guys down at the causeway.... Water temps was 42.9.... Heading to Erie the rest of April for the jumbo s....

BT the chop on Pymy's water and outside air temp. told me to go fishing for a house and leave the fishing rods in storage for a bit.

Gotta admit, seeing the lake and boats bobbing around did make for a, happy happy I'm home, moment. Wellll, let's just say almost home. LOL.

Congratulations on your catching and making memories with your son.

Hopefully I get settled into a new Adobe soon and maybe see ya at PI. this spring.

Enjoying your reports and hope those fish tacos were better than yummy.

Good times and tight lines. ๐Ÿป

I don't who ya was fishing down stream of the wall this morning but that was me wavin ๐Ÿ‘‹ when I crossed the causeway.

Had to be a heck of lot nicer today as compared to Tuesday in the wind.

Stopped by the RV dealer on 6 E in Andover. What a hell of a nice guy and the store is very impressive and well stocked. Be nice to have a place like that nearby for parts and supply's. Now if I can find a house in the area.๐Ÿ˜’

Fished the south end today. Only saw one other boat. The wind had shifted from the NW and the water temperature was 44 degrees. Tried everything except dynamite. The bite was very slow and my graph didn't show much activity. Regardless my shake down cruise went well. The DCNR guy told me the North End should be warmer.

Made it out in the boat looking for Walter for a few hours this evening. 3 cats to the boat and lost 2 others. I knew I jumped the gun for the spot I was fishing and the wind for the drift was almost nonexistent, but it was still nice to finally get out and relax on the water. The black dog thought the same as she delt with a bout of limber tail. Most others must have stayed home for Easter as there wasn't another boat in sight. Good luck to everyone out there!

Finally made it out on the canoe today around lunch. Took awhile to get my limit ov Crappie, mostly 12" with a few 11" while my brother did good with the Gills. Some dink Perch & a nice L/M in the mix. Packed in ice for the night to make filleting much easier. Sill ain't near on fire for what I witnessed in the area today.

I drove over the 285 causeway today seeing several boats congregating on both sides of the pass through.

Also several anglers fishing from the roadway with one dude wildly cranking on his rod......... uhhh, reeling one in.๐Ÿ˜

Dont know what it was, too much traffic behind me, to stop for a look see.

Stopped for lunch at the "Lil Bit" where I enjoyed a yummy bowl of ham & cabbage soup followed by a steak salad and garlic toast.

CONGRATS on your catching Nut.๐Ÿป I didn't see your boat or I'd a honked.

My eyes was full of tears from laughing while watching that big dude on the bridge, cranking one up.

I know one thing, next time I ain't forgetting the foam canoe seats!! Left 'em on the back patio & din't wanna go back when got to the lake. My butt is soo sore today from the aluminium tube supports. Asked my brother what in Gods name are we doing in this thing when we have nice comfortable boats in the driveway?

Seem too always do good from the canoes though, since I slow down & don't jump from spot too spot = more time actually fishing than heading to different parts ov the lake.

Glad you had a good time Ice Nut. I might need ice on my buttt!

crappy

Another thing, Had 8 rods ready for panfish, decided on the one with a broken tip since it had my favorite jig already tied on. Didn't want to take a extra rod for room purposes. First Crappie hooked the thing broke where the two connect. It was funny when the rod would fly off with the cast, barely connected on a angle while fish on or totally submerged reeling fish in
