Pymatuning on fire?????????????

Fished 8-1/2 hours on Saturday.  Beautiful day on the water.  I don't know who said the lake was on fire for perch, crappie and walleye but it certainly wasn't for us.  We caught more catfish than anything else and we weren't fishing for catfish.  No eyes and only one slab crappie.  A few dink perch and crappie.

Sunday evening ice, hail and wind storm hit camp dead on. Could ov taken a coal shovel full with each scoop. Tried getting out front door hrs. after but couldn't from the marble sized hail piled up, so far from on fire.
Lost 5 1/2  huge trees, front porch ripped from house, kitchen porch damaged, main roof damaged, power lines & pole with transformer down in yard, window screens shredded from hail, swing set flipped onto fence. Was ****ed off since I was gonna catch crawlers that night but iced covered & transformer with shredded pole in water in middle ov yard canceled that idea.

Yesterday on roof with chainsaw had to make a jump for it when a branch took off with saw attached lol.

Full moon out now with a beautiful day on the way, fishin' in the mornin' so hope it heats up some.

Still some massive 150 yr. old Maple widow makers makers near cemetery entrance but oooh well.

Thought I saw a Starcraft with a lantern sitting on the bow at Espeyville Launch while I was having dinner at "Lil Bit" day before yesterday.

Any word on the Walleye night bite around the humps and the 285 causeway?  Anybody see the Starcraft anchored or smell a kerosene lantern burning late at night?  If ya do and the dude is wearing brown insulated coveralls, say hey to Danny..... when ya leave, just don't look back, cause he won't be there.

Thanks Tim, My ankles are still sore from the 12' jump. Other than that we are good to go. Just put a do not enter caution tape across the rite away before the widow makers at cemetery entrance. With Easter weekend upon us the cemetery is a mess. Don't know If I'll have it cleared before Mothers Day unless they help out. Thought the elec. company would have at least cleared the huge Maple widow maker that they used for a anchor support for the elec. pole.

The Muskie was posted yesterday on FB. Should have read all the comments on the way the guy held the fish lol...

    Thanks,

Saw that, wonder if it fought like a wet log? 4lb. test line also.

Might try heading out tomorrow on the canoe before the cold front.

DANG... Them some scary pics of damage crappiefisher. Glad no personal injuries.

This past Sat I drove through an area on 422 near South Shore that looked to have hail, by the coal shovel full, covering the road and nearby ground.

I'm not knowing if any wind damage occured but I'm soooo happy I wasn't there, when the white stuff was coming down.

We fished from shore up at linesville for 5 hours Thursday evening.  2 catfish and 3 perch.  Fished from 7:15am-10:30pm on Friday from shore on the causeway (minus going home for 2 hours for lunch) and all we got were a couple catfish and a bunch of perch that were only about 7-8".  1 walleye that day that was 16".  Saturday was more of the exact same except no walleye.  Not a single crappie any of the 3 days!!!!

I fished the North end of the Lake this past Saturday and caught 11 perch in the 8-11" range.  I caught a few more less then 8" but threw them back.  I noticed other boats around me catching quite a few perch as well but I did not see them throw the smaller ones back.  Is it really worth cleaning the smaller perch?

Flyfisherman, even sadder, do they even prep the perch for consumption?

Other than the 'BlueShirts' I mean, cause ya know, they ain't takin the dinks home for "it dont count if there ain't no pics" photo ops.
