     Oh fish finders

We have the Humminbirds 997c si,  998c HD GPS Fishing System SI, 999ci HD Sonor-GPS SI & the 1198c SI with no complaints. Son just bought a Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 2 touch screen a few weeks ago we haven't tried out yet.  Don't know about how often will have to clean the screen with sticky fingers?

They do say, them "eyes" glow when lit up with a light, at night.

So that should count as a fish finder I would think. 😜

As for me, first sonar unit I bought was a Lowrance Flasher back in the late 70's. From then on nuttin but Humminbird.

Especially the ones that show little
    fishy's swimmin across the screen.

Heyyy.. I gotta have sumpthin to watch, while I ain't catchin.

    Stupid fishy's!!!

Meanwhile, congratulations to FishUSA on selling another fine product.

Pensfan the Helix 7 is a subject you and I might be able to agree on even if, mine did cost more than yours did. (knew I shoulda waited a few years and let the price drop😭)

I'm sure you're aware but if you haven't tried it yet, fire up the simulator on that Helix. Don't wait till first time on the water to know what to do when. Your new machine has a ton of options that will make your day. Just fascinating what lurks beneath the depths.

The gooder part, accessories now available through FishUSA.

Good luck on the water and have a ball with your Helix.

Had my Helix 7 for 2 years now and still haven't figured out all the options yet.  Love my Hummingbird.

Hooked up a 12 volt converter to the Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 2 Touch in the house yesterday.
Was very impressed with the unit & the reviews I've read are 5 star. Nice it came with the side scan & 2 down transducers with 3 navionics SD/microSD cards. The 12" screen should help with my eyes.  The touch screen is very easy to navigate & supper quick & easy menu to figure out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVZfiei-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iltTBwP0b3c

Just bought a Lowrance Elite 9ti.  Also going to purchase a Garmin Reactor 40 kicker autopilot.  Can't wait to use either.

I would have to say the Minn Kota Ipilot.  The spot lock and autopilot can't be beat.

Anyone with a Helix have any suggestions what brand mapping card to buy? I see 5 or 6 different name brands. Just wanted to get some feedback before I bought one.
