I could probably save some money on hooks, I have always tied 3 #4's in which was nice if I ever lost the tail hook I still had a fishable rig......I did really like the hologram blades from cabelas, I used them some last year....

Usually spacing between 3-4" on hooks.  Gamagatzu probaly the best hook ive used but they are super pricy.  VMC and the Matzuo hooks work pretty good too.  The needle points on the Gams and Matzuo occasionally bend over after many fish..when this happens usually the rig needs retied anyways and new hooks are added.

Musky if you are looking into buying some blades look no further...send me a PM

you dont need floats on dipsy lines...you are already targeting suspended fish...

Floats are like for bottom bouncing to reduce lines hitting bottom and snagging...

Shutup, is that your own personal line??  I see a few there i like...a few i really dont...Watermellon being all green yuck...PUT SOME EFFORT INTO EM...lol

Looks good . I'd use spray polyurethane to gloss em up . It works really well and will complement your base paint finish , add durability so that they don't scratch as easily. Do not buy the craft store gloss it ruined a many of my painted blades. You can even use water base paint if you polyurethane over them if you wanted to add brush on detail.

The color name really describes the body color.  Blade colors and patterns vary.  I don't personally like the watermelon shown either with those blades.  I prefer copper blades and watermelon body.  And yes, I make those.  I'll bet over 50% of the eyes we caught last year were on that stinger hook.

with those stinger hooks I have been tying the floats in and snagging less when bottom bouncing..I tied some the same way last year and lost a few till I added the floats.

What size blades do you guys prefer?  Would a smaller blade be advisable for smaller water, like Pymy, Kinzua or Arthur?

i run size 4 willows and 5 colorados on erie.  Just has always been my standard...i guess you could make smaller rigs for the smaller lakes, but ive caught fish in pymatuning with the same harnesess i use in erie...caught alot of smaller fish in erie with em too...

Gary...you cant mess with success....its always been a good producer...proof is in the pudding!  I once knew a guy who always said the BS ends at the cleaning station....

I only use those other colors so i have something different to talk about...lol Its all in experimentation.....

Watermellon is my Erie walleye color of choice....i just keep making it better as time goes on...

Placing another order to replace my inventory tomorrow.  Let me know if you need anything more.  I have a set of rod holders coming into the shop as well as a bunch of new blades we just came up with last month.

Probaly going to be doing some spoons as well as some new plugs here in the near future...
