Info of Nets on Erie

Just reading reports ....talking about nets on Erie???? Are these Perch nets and how are they identified if I'm boating off shore fishing ? Are they easy to see their floating markers....just trying to avoid a bad situation from happening. Any info or pictures would be good information. I've been fishing out in front of Presque Isle Point area out of Lampe marina several miles out.

Nice link Mako, we trolled next to one last Fri and Sat, them dudes put that one in a good spot lol. Those flags on either end are about 300 yards apart (guess), and if it's hazy you can't see em, I nailed one years ago in a fog, what a mess. No fun getting my rigger balls out of them.

Pulled up one day and watched them wrench in the nets amazing. They just don't catch perch. A lot of eyes bite the dust,of course perch, white
bass and white perch. What really surprised me was the huge numbers of red horse suckers. Captain, they have flags on buoys at each end. Easy to run into in the fog.lol

They had net out of walnut last week right next to the NOAA Bouy. Around 50 ft i think. Yellow flags about 300 yards apart with white floats in between. Been there a few weeks
