Pennsylvania Steelhead Association host monthly meeting August 8th, 2018
First Meeting of the New Steelhead Season:
The Pennsylvania Steelhead Association will hold a meeting at 7:30p.m., on August 8th and the 2nd Wednesday of each month August through April. The meetings are held at Millcreek American Legion Post #773, 4109 West 12th Street, Erie, PA. (Just east of the Erie Airport on PA State Route 5).
Our members get excited about the upcoming fall season, come join us and exchange strategies, ideas and fish stories!
Renowned local guide, author and PSA Board member, Karl Weixlmann will be the program presenter for the August 8th meeting. Karl will be giving a Power Point Program on “Dry Fly Presentations and Strategies for Steelhead”. Topics covered will be waking dry flies, the season when it works, patterns to use, and the deadly dry fly dropper set ups and terminal tackle rigging.
Also the ideal water conditions when it works. By adding dry fly techniques to your steelheading repertoire, Karl suggest you can actually catch more fish in what some would consider uncatchable conditions!
