Fishing Mount Pleasant

Want to take my niece and nephew fishing next week for carp and catfish at night. They live in Mount Pleasant and I'm not too familiar with area. Not looking for anything fancy--just a place to prop up some rods on the bank.

Tried Mammoth one time but the lake is so choked with weeds it seemed a waste of time.

Any suggestions?

    +1 greenlick, or Bridgeport.
Bridgeport would probably be better for kids, lots of panfish.

IMO, Greenlick would be the bettter choice.More access & less weeds. My friends daughter got 3 nice carp there Fri. evening. Also Bridgeport is a westm'd. cnty park lake, which means that you need a night permit & a light,it also is a panfish enhancement lake with size & limit regs.   sam
