A Steelhead Chirstmas

It was a beautiful day to make my way to the Tribs in my Ford Focus, 135,000 mi with many to go for my favorite celebratory purpose, at last I rolled in only to grin to see the tribs green and ripe for the purpose.  1 cast 2 casts, 3 and fish on!! but only to lose fish number 1, 2 cast later, fish 2 landed, and the fish decided they would cooperate but only later, 3 & 4 land but it took time, I almost decided it was quitting time, but I ventured down to a beautiful pool, and new it was Christmas time for this merry old fool.  Bam, Bam, Bam, I could not believe, I catching these fish with so much ease, the time reminded me of yester year when 10 day fish were the norms of the years.

May you all have great dreams steelhead  tonight, happy holidays to you all and your families, and have a merry life!!!

I made the trip on xmas eve. First drift on some new tied jigs, hook'd up and netted. Then it went quiet for about a hour, hooked another one but it broke me off (my fault, didn't get the line after the last fish). Caught 2 others after fishing a few other spots.

The fish were all banged up! That ice did a number on them for sure.

With the 50+ inches of snow, looks like this will close out my 2017 year.
