wow, the storms last weekend really did a number on the mouth of 16 mile creek. I didn't have my phone on me to take a picture. But slate rocks the size of cars broken off, big pooled up water near the mouth. Trees everywhere.

Everywhere is severely damaged, I haven’t seen one area that benefited, other than elk mouth finally letting loose.
Saw numerous spots that had dead fish in the woods from them being trapped when the water receded.

20 mile now essentially has two mouths. Had a pretty good weekend, catching a brown and a nine pounder.

Unfortunately my go pro suffered a rather embarrassing accident last weekend, so those of you who don't like videos get your wish. Ha.

I put on some miles and did quite a bit of scouting today on 3 different creeks. I found a lot of areas that benefited greatly from the flood while other pools were totally destroyed. A couple of my favorite deep runs are now shale chutes.
But then that's the nature of these creeks.

I doubt there is any secret spot in Erie, maybe some spots get less pressure, but nothing is a secret anymore

True. But many spots are still on private property and the landowner has allowed access. That “pressure” you referenced seems to go up at times...why? Cause eleventy million people post detailed reports, vids and tweets. No need to have extra people tramping thru. If you think the braggadocious inurdnet report doesn’t affect crowds I got a bridge to sell ya.

Im sure fishing reports dont affect crowds anywhere near the amount you think. Ask em where they are from, if they aren't local, 9 times out of 10 that guy had his trip planned out for weeks and never consulted the internet for his spot. You dont spontaneously jump in the truck for a 2-3 hour drive because Joe Jagoff posted a photo of a nice looking pellethead on a forum.

Joe Jagoff is one of my neighbors (Upper St. Clairton). He definitely checks this site. He's always looking for good spots n at.

I agree that no one jumps into the truck after seeing sumn online, they usually plan ahead. But while joe jagoff and porktahhn may have planned to GO for weeks, the SPOT choice is most definitely influenced by reports and posts.

Btw porktahhn-I been upp err saynt clairtin-reel nyce place. Classy yer than donnnee irrris!
