Have heard that Etecs are notorious for having cylinder issues. I know some can be fixed by honing the cylinder, replacing the gasket, and installing a new piston, in this case you're looking at a few hundred dollars. Next step up would be replacing the powerhead, which would probably run a few thousand, and next step up would be replacing the motor altogether.
In any case, I'd recommend taking it to a reputable, knowledgeable mechanic, and, in addition to suggesting a repair, make sure he can diagnose what caused the cylinder to fail in the first place (ie faulty injector), because if that isn't addressed, you could very well end up in the same position again.
Good luck.
