2-6-08 midge hatch

wednesday saw temps in the high 50's. i go out to check the dissolved oxygen in the aeraters, and there is a good sized midge hatch coming off the clarifiers. checked the d.o. (3.83) and the temp.(46.1) . good thing i'm getting some brown trout to stock in the clarifier #1 on friday. with all the midges and daphnia(water fleas) to eat, these 2" fish should be bruisers in no time. this time next year i will be fly fishing during my lunch break.
 
the trout are in the tank, 288,130 gallons of water to play in. let's just see what will happen.
