I have the old design and just got the new ones. The old ones lasted me 3 yrs but that is like 6yrs for the average guy. Yes the old ones did come out once in awhile and was a bit of a pain. The new ones are way nicer. I had my doubts on the last ones and proven correct. These have a much better design and from the looks of it they aint poppin out. These are lighter and higher than the other model. I like them so far but only been out in them twice do to the weather.

i had the old korkers and now have the new lorkers, big difference in the sole system that makes them better.  i've worn them about 6 - 7 and have not have 1 problem.  i did have problems with the old system, even lost a sole because of how often they became unattached.  however, i really like the new boot.

i also have the chota SLT and like them too.  the only draw back is if you have to walk in muddy condition or long walk along a trail or in snow.  that's the big advantage the korker has, lug sole wor the trail, studs for snow and mud and studded felt for everything else.  the plan studs also work well for every day use.

Swinger,  Thanks for your opinion on the new Korkers,  I believe the new design that holds the sole into the boot will be a huge upgrade.  You are given a tool with the boot to retract the sole instert,  with that said I dont think there will be a problem with them coming out.

Brian, I guided in the Korkers guide boots last fall and never had one problem. There is a bit of wear by the BOA lace system, but not bad at all. I love the dial laces. I know it is a gimmick, but they work, and your boots don't get loose! I was wearing them with the rubber and studs bottom, and the insert never came out. A note on the studs: the package says to tighten them before use, and if you don't they will come loose!

MM,  Thanks for the reply.  I'll be heading up this weekend, I think Walnut will fish OK.  Elk is questionable.

IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT KORKERS STUDDED SANDALS THAT GO OVER YOUR BOOT AND LACE UP, I'VE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS. THE TRICK TO NOT HAVING THEM PULL OFF IS TO PUT SHEET ROCK SCREWS THRU THEM INTO THE HEEL OF YOUR BOOT. I PUT ONE IN THE BACK OF THE HEEL AND ONE ON EACH SIDE.    GLEN
