Are we still in the extended season?

No one was out today.  I looked up the season details on the Fish and Boat site:
http://fishandboat.com/fishpub/summary/inland.html
Says the creeks are closed as of 2/29.  Yet I see a fishing report on Fisherie for 3/5/16?

I think Erie Tribs are special regulations. From what I've heard, they're only closed for 24 hours before opening day. Most other trout streams are closed, other than places like the Wilderness Streams and Delayed Harvest sections.

If you're talking about the Erie tribs, here are the regulations: http://fishandboat.com/fishpub/summary/lakeerie.html

They are open to fishing until April 15 and then reopen again at 8 AM on opening day, April 16.

pretty much you can fish for steelhead all yr round. They make it closed for one or 2 days so they can stock the normal trout and let them get used to the creek until opening. Plus there are plenty of trout lakes being stocked that you can still fish that are the trout approved waters open all yr round just cant keep them. So plenty of fishing still going on.
