Lake Pleasant ice

Was out to Lake Pleasant this afternoon, walk out about 10ft and put my leg through the
ice. The ice there is only 2-2 and a half inches thick right off the main parking area.

Look to the heavens and thank God everyday that hunting is such a grand part of our lives.

Sure did, but my son was out there Monday afternoon and fell through the ice in about 17ft of
water!  I also heard another fella went through a few days earlier. If you go out stay off the north end of the lake and stay with the crowd!!!

I was at the lake is morning from 11am to 3pm and caught a mess of small crappie in about 30ft of water.
Moved 3 times and the ice seemed pretty uniform.
Ice was about 4 inches thick.
I heard of others catching trout but I caught none.A few perch being taken also.

Fished the lake this evening, it was pretty slow.
2-3 inches of half frozen water and slush on top, with varying ice depth from
    2 to 6 inches.
You should still stay away from the north end of the lake I guess it's still pretty thin.
I was told the lake was stock with trout earlier in the week.
    That's it for now.
Will be out there early Saturday morning.

My son and I fished from 7am to 1pm today caught one blue gill.Moved four times
We saw over 100 fish on the fish finder but couldn't get them to bite.
The ice... Well not so good the slush is freezing somewhat, so you maybe have 2 or 3 inches of half frozen slush
and about 3 inches of decent ice, you take a step and break through the crust, sometimes kind of scary.
There was about 10 to 12 huts and about that many more without.
Going to try it again tomorrow morning weather permitting!! sounds like 45 degrees and rain.

Fished Pleasent this afternoon.  Ice was around 4 inches near shore, thickest spot we drilled was 7. One trout.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

My buddy fished it yesterday with about 6 inches of ice off the main parking lot.  One trout for his efforts.
We fished the Waterworks pond on Sunday and got into a bunch of trout in the morning near the wooden dock.

I guess it's been a while since I last reported. It's been pretty slow at the lake at least on the days I've been fishing.
Been seeing lots of fish on the fish finder (been fishing deep,30 to 40ft and seeing fish just off the bottom up to
about 17ft) been catching some small perch and crappies.
There is lots of snow on the ice with slush underneath when you drill a hole the water rises up out of the hole.
There is 5 or 6 inches of ice maybe thicker in spots.
Well, will try again tomorrow, will see what happens.

Fished today for about 2 hours with no success.  I had one bite.  Talked to a few guys coming off the ice.  They had some success with trout early in the morning, then the bite shut off around 9:00.

Just a heads up, a warden was walking around the ice asking to see licenses.  Keep 'em visible!

Fished late Sunday morning caught one nice slab perch and few nibbles, again saw lots of fish on the fish finder
    but little action.
Was fishing in 32ft water with most fish between 15ft and 20ft.
