Pike in the Bay in April??
Anyone ever try this?? It sounds like a great idea being that big pike like 50-55 degree temps and I no there are plenty of them in the Bay. Sounds like a great time...

I dont target pike that time of year but I get about 4 of them each year while targeting crappies, especially on the south side of the bay, so I would say if you look for them it should be VERY rewarding

as s-10 said try cascade they spawn there in the bay in April it's something about that in lit there they love. I have had a few poll's snapped, off the mouth of the creek in mid April. Even tho, they are not in season they sure are fun to catch then.

A small bucktail spinner will work too, but I like to work slow in the spring time. Therefore a 1/2 oz. bucktail jig under a float jigged and worked slow on the weed edges and drop offs is deadly. I rig it and work it just like I do for the steelies. You can tip them with minows too...Good Luck!

Im no pike expert but they do like spoons or flashy spinners. Try a small mepps aglia long like size 1 or 2 in shallow water that silver sparkle color I have seen guys realy hammer them on lures like that.
