Sucker Stream fishing

Hi guys and gals, bringing the wife up to do some stream fishing this week.  I know there is a variety of fish in the streams right now but wondering if anyone can clue me in to how to catch suckers as far as bait/technique.  Have caught many other kinds of fish this time of year but never had much success for them. Just want to catch anything and be prepared if other fish aren't biting.  Any help would be appreciated. 

No working during fishing hours

    The suckers are there right now. Almost any bait will catch them near the bottom.

    Thanks for the responses.  We will certainly give the night crawlers a try.  It's nice to get away but catching makes it "funner".  Now we may need rain.  Streams look low and clear.  Thanks again!!
