fish finder help

fishfinder   I am wanting to buy new fish finder for the boat ..but not sure which one to get...I would  like side and down imageing and gps..hummingbird and lowrance are the two that I have looked at the most..anyone have a better choice or  knowledge to help me    thanks for any input

    DSG had H-birds on sale.  581i on sale.  I don't think it has side imaging though?  Don't have this one so I can't give you a review.

    I too am in the market.
    I have a lil alum boat I plan on setting up for local lakes.
    Any advice / comments would be appreciated especially with brand pros and cons its something I will use to learn the water since I will be a newbie to the lakes. Maybe a lil lesson in how certain features are used in fishing situations would help me make up my mind.
    Again any advice would be helpful I have been mostly a stream fisherman but want to go out on lakes drag the wife out for some fresh air in the summer maybe catch sum fish to fry up.
