NW PA Late Season Goose(Pics)

Have not had much time to hunt lately with school and work, but got out a few times this late season and been laying the smack down with a lot of limits taken. Anyways, we got a blizzard thrown at us Sat. morning, took the geese awhile to get up and move but when they did it was on! Birds decoyed awesome, around 300 birds in all different sized flocks dropped right in without thinking twice, with all the shots being between 5 and 20 yrds from our gun barrels. Birds reacted great to calling and flagging. We ran about 40 FB and a few dozen sleeper shells. Had a couple newbees with me and it was great to get the birds right in their face, there addicted to goose hunting now! We ended up with a limit of 15, 1 band. We shot a 6 man limit of 30 the day before but did not have a camera with me.  These pics are from Sat morning.  Its kind of nice when the creeks are frozen up and theres still something in season to kill.   Krott

Im the good looking one on the left, and yea thats my Toyota in the background that has a 171,000 on it and is still a beast.

The best thing I can tell you is to scout, scout, scout and then hunt. Find where the birds are, study how they are, and setup like they do.  A lot of people say the birds are very smart now because they have been hunted all year.  I say there dumber, as long as your hidden and theres nothing in your spread that they will flair at, then it will seem like your hunting birds on opening day.

MO has had an invite for a long time, but he's stuck with his wifey.  Anytime you wanna go out John, let me know.  Theres only two weeks left of the late season, dont know if I'll get out again with school and work but I'll let you know if I do.  If not, next season for sure.  We can schedule a goose hunt in the morning and fish the rest of the day, then get drunk.

Nice Paul, very nice.  There isn't anything much better than a flock that locks onto your dekes and just fall out of the sky.  Just awesome!!!!

Eh, wifey is gone.  I knew I'd find a way to mess it up, lol.

John,  if your driving then I will partake in some libations, lol.  How have you been buddy?  Keeping up with your Geritol regimen?

Yeah, it is kind of nice for Krott to call AFTER he goes, lol.
