I bought one at the beginning of the season also. I bought a spare vex battery and use it.
I tried it in murky water and I had to be within a couple of feet of the lure and it was fuzzy. On PIB 3' away with lots of detail.
IMO cameras are more about entertainment than actually producing fish. They cut down on mobility immensely. I prefer to plop the vex ducer into the hole and start fishing. I'll know soon if there are fish below me and, with luck, I'll be able to tell what species they are. Sniffers get the camera.w_w.
If it has fins and gills, I'm there.
