Fish TV

Has anyone used the Fish TV from Naturevision? Wondering how the quality is compared to the aqua-vu's.

I haven't used it yet, but for $99.00 I bought one. Can't beat the price!

i could be wrong about this but the only problem ive heard about the fishtv is that it runs on "c" batteries. many "c" batteries get expensive. there is a 12 volt power cord included. the "aqua-vu" sized batteries are around $15-$20. dont know if theres a compartment on the fishtv to hold the battery or not. unless you feel the need to use "c" batteries, cabelas has a camera, case, battery and charger for $120. they send out coupons regularly. the harbor freight brand, which chauncy was trying to sell here awhile ago(may want to contact him in case its still for sale) has case, 65 ft of cord, shade, battery, charger for $99.99. they will email you coupons if you get on their list. they send out 20% off coupons regularly. not promoting other sites or brands, but the lower end cameras are basically all the same.

Sold that camera a couple days after i posted it. I bought an aqua vu scout for $80. Not as bulky as the other one. Both work good as long as the water is not too stained. Really enjoyed watching the schools of crappies running thru Presque isle bay last feb.

Used my new camera on Sunday and it worked great. It adds a lot of fun and caught fish that I never would have felt, but watched them eat. A 2 lb bass came up and sat in front of my jig and kissed it about 5 times before deciding to barely take it. I didn't feel a thing. Best 99 bucks I've spent in a while.

I used a small motorcycle battery that I had in my garage with out being charged in 3 years and the camera ran all day with no problems. The picture is perfect. Very detailed! Two thumbs up to the Fishtv!

I bought one at the beginning of the season also.  I bought a spare vex battery and use it.

I tried it in murky water and I had to be within a couple of feet of the lure and it was fuzzy.  On PIB 3' away with lots of detail.

IMO cameras are more about entertainment than actually producing fish.  They cut down on mobility immensely.  I prefer to plop the vex ducer into the hole and start fishing.  I'll know soon if there are fish below me and, with luck, I'll be able to tell what species they are.  Sniffers get the camera.w_w.

If it has fins and gills, I'm there.
