Do you use lure ratings before you chose some lure to buy?

Nope, didn't even know such a thing existed. I'll take word of mouth from other captains or fishermen before I look into what the web has to say. I like old school advertising on the docks, yet I still partake in hunting and fishing forums. Sometimes I just don't get myself.

Nope, I choose a lure that will produce fish in  the situtation that I fish.  Tried a lot of stuff in my life time and now I know exactly what I want when I walk into a tackle store.  Standing at a boat dock when the boats come in will put you further ahead on what lures to buy than relying on some web sites review of a lure.
