Any advisories on eating fish from Lake Erie / Presque Isle area ?

Other than those who believe in catch & release, what is the consensus on eating fish from Lake Erie / Presque Isle area?  Are the waters pretty safe and clean, or polluted ?

Great!!!!!!   My wife thinks there's nothing that matches Lake Erie perch.  On the other hand, I will devour nearly anything that swims - and some things that don't. Gives purpose to fishing.

    -Thanks

My wife has an inherent bias against sheephead. So we'll throw away the 4 sheephead and I'll take the 4 catfish. She can have the perch I won't catch.
