That is a beatiful colored fish and pretty big fish. I find spring time I catch the real monsters. Already landed two over 30 this year, love to catch that magical 35 incher to go on the wall.... Great Pic!! Thanks for sharing!!!

advise stevepf ---- finding a friend to take you out after the lake trout, most will give you free advice - a good one will stick with you and offer advise with patience. Person that helped me after about a half dozen trips left me with knowledge - to do it alone. Playing a five to ten pound trout in a stream will in itself teach you the importance of "drag" and knowing how much to apply.. Any time streams arent iced over this time of year is a good time to pick one dumping into Lake Erie or Ontario
