Looking for info on the bays

Would someone care to PM me on how the ice is coming along in the PI bays? Not trying to be secretive, just dont want to start arguments about spot burning.

As of Tuesday, there was virtually no ice at PI when I was hunting for some ducks.  Toward the end of the day when the snow came I was set up near the head of the bay (2nd or 3rd parking lot) and the heavy snow and from the protection of the wind, the water there started to get a good layer of slush on the top.  Hopefully it froze up a little overnight and the cold temps the next few days are sure to help.  I'm going to be hunting again on Saturday for the last day of duck season and I'll let you know how it's coming along.

The bay does have some ice on it as of today -- mainly all the way up to the channel but I'm guessing it's not very thick at all and will probably be gone soon with the warm temps predicted.

Chauncy, you might think about getting the boat out for Shenango vs. thoughts of any ice action.   This week's thaw should eliminate all ice.  I have the itch too, but digging out golf clubs seems like the ticket today.

No. A friend invited me to fish with him so i cant post the location. Sorry, but i have to show him that respect. My area, open shore, running water. Anymore and he'll kill me.

LOL -- no problem Chauncy -- I wouldn't ask for specific info on here but if you had gotten those at PI, I'd be doing a little searching for myself.

    Keep at 'em.
