Lake Pleasant

Anyone have any experience fishing this lake throught the ice? Are there any bait shops in that area? Seems far enough north to have good ice, and short ride from the house.

There is also a Lake Pleasant in NY. I haven't heard anything particular to ice fishing there Dakota. Best way to find out is to drill some holes there yourself.

i assume your talking about lake pleasant near wells ny , because there is also a pleasant lake nearby. There is pretty good fishin on lake pleasant quite a few people fish it. Good bass n pickerel and quite a few perch. Lake Algonquin in wells is also pretty good.

    I'd rather be fishing

Thanks Cooldude, they must have more ice up there. I live in Mayfield so it's a short trip. The ice on Sacandaga is done for a week or so. That's if it gets cold again soon.

Doubtful any lake this weekend will be pleasant icefishing I was on the ph minutes ago trying to convince a buddy that there is no safe icefishing anywhere in nys.  He still wants to waiste gas joy riding and scouting for lake frontage tomorrow. I'd spinner float baitfish in the upper del for those possible walleye but that's got to be floodstage. Oh well, I guess go for a ride, bring binoculars for both astronomy and birding whatever and maybe do some plumbing or trim work at the cabin.

Fished from 7.30 to 1. Three flags, 1 northern I returned to the hole. Good ice, between 8 and 10 inches. It was a nice day, should have done better.

    Backin:

Leys go Giants???  You will find no safe ice up north with that team around Eagle Ed!  Plenty of snow predicted tonight and into tomorrow, but ice still iffy on Saratoga Lake.
