Simms G3 is worth every penny.

Fishing with bait is like swearing in church.

Second on the Simms products. I also have a redington that has performed great in all situation. Plus its about half the cost of simms. Definately in raingear you get what you pay for. Buy the best you can afford.

I have heard that Cabelas guidewear holds its own as well.

Hands down to the Simms G3 jacket. I have mine now for 2 years and i have fished some of the most nasties days you can think of on the tribs. Yes hefty price tag but worth ever dollar! Lots of room nice pocket space, breathable, and dry. If i was to rate it hands down it would get a 100% in my book. I would rather pay the money when it comes down to keeping dry or getting wet or even alittle damp! can spoil your day of fishing. So if the budget allows G3 all the way. Chota make nice jackets as well cheaper than the g3.  centerpin_drift...........

Lots of peeps love the G3, and the G4 is supposed to be even better. I am sold on the Patagonia SST stretch-less techy looking, and great product. If you want to use your gift card for something else, I am selling a brand new Sage SKagit River jacket. Men's large. Never used. Got it as a gift but prefer my SST. Half off. Posted on selling page.

I have had a Cabelas rain jacket with their own brand of breathable/waterproof material for years.  I havent' had any problems with it.

While the higher priced Simms jackets are really nice I am always put off by their price.  For $100 or less, I'd give the Cabelas a try.

I have the Columbia, got at****s for $40,last year ,on clearance. The jacket will keep you dry,put 2 sweatshirts on and keeps warm into teens. It has a good number of pockets, enough to hold whatever i need for a day of fishing.I would buy it again, not 1 complaint.
