Vex or Marcum?

Looking into to buying a vex or marcum. Does anybody have any input about either one?

    I've been using a Vexilar Fl 18 now for at least 5 years. It is the best ice fishing equipment purchase I have ever made! On many occasions I catch better quality & more fish than my fishin buddies! It tells you the truth about whats below you. I will not go without it, & I fish about everyday when the ice is good! Takes a little time to learn, but once you do.....get ready for some fun.....

    forgot to mention. have heard lots of good things about the lowrance ice machines.

    Vex.  There's a reason they are the largest many times over.w_w.

    I have a Lowrance. X-67 Ice machine.  Love it.  Only complaint I have is the transducer arm that comes on the X-67. It works, but I like the floating transducer holder that comes with the Vex.  Could probably rig something up for mine, just havn't bothered yet.  I think Vex, Marcum, and  Lowrance are all good units.

    I got a FL-12 last year and can't imagine ice fishing without it now. As loby said I have noticed a huge difference in my catch rate since getting it.

    Well I bought a FL8. It was well worth the money, I cant believe what you actually miss with out one. Thanks for all the input.
