FISHING REPORT 12/8/2007

Fished the upper Salmon River today.   Started about 11:00and fished until 3:00.  Went 1 for 3 with a 6-7 pounder landed...had two others on including a pretty big fish that went downriver into the rapids below the hole I was fishing and was gone.  Saw about four drift boats and quite a few guys fishing in the hole I was in.  Also saw two guys on pontoon boats float by.  I tried that once and it scared the crap out of me.
 
Overall I would say it was slower than my last few trips...it seemed like a lot of work for the bites.  Was also very windy with periods of snow.  the sun was shining for about thirty seconds the whole time I was there.  Was a little warmer than last week...I know because I dunked my reel again, and it didn't freeze up!!!

    Pontoon boats? Holy crap.
    1) Wish I had one.
    2) If I did I don't know if I'd take it down the SR.
    3) Especially in Winter.
