I have used it as a leader on my fly rod and noodle rod, pretty strong stuff, I have heard if you spool your whole reel, you tend to get twists in your line.  John

thats a good fish, they are all good, some are gooder than others

I guess that depends on the type of reel you have also, mine is a shimano stradic. It is pretty good with not getting twisted line.

I highly recommend it, I use the 4 lb for leaders on my fly rod in the creeks and it works like a charm, I snap off very few fish in the creeks.  Great knot strength as well as tensel (sp?) strength.  I also spooled up a reel with 15 lb McCoy for bassing in heavy cover and have not had a single problem with it.

Two of my other reels have 8 lb McCoy on it and I have had no issues with those either.

thanks smalliekiller for the in-put. I have been using p-line but I want something I can buy in bulk. From what I have read about McCOYS it is very good line. I am going to order it from fish u.s.a.
