Clarion river?

Moving to Clarion soon and would like any fishing suggestions any one has. Like where are the good spots, what is the best bait, and so on.. Have Boat (16 ft 85hp) so can go anywhere.

    For a motor that big, there is Piney Dam on the Clarion River. Little further away is Tionesta Lake, and also Shenango River Lake. East Branch Clarion River Lake in Elk County is another place to fish once the dam is fixed.


    If your really careful, you can fish around the Oil City marina on the Allegheny River since its dredged, but watch the prop. And your about 90 mins from Presque Isle bay.


    Kahle Lake out by Knox is electric motor only and with the water low, it may be tricky getting launched...but it's a good bass lake. Justus Lake at Two Mile Run County Park outside of Oil City is another electric only lake that has bass and musky and stocked trout. Finally over by Dubois there is Kyle Lake, also electric only.


    Far as baits...I dont really fish Piney Dam much, but with Kahle, Kyle and Justus, minnows or gulp worms are my go to baits.
