New baby on the way!
Got the word from a supplier and Milner reels that I am on the short list of limited run handmade new Milner 5 inch Kingfisher bearing centerpin reels! I know a few who have aquired his new 4 1/2 bearing reels and they are right there with a mykiss but with better startup and nicer workmanship!If that is possible..Looks like my Islander steelheader will be getting a big brother..Pricey but not much more than a Mykiss..Might have to look seriously in letting my islander go after I get my hands on the Milner,,,Ray

LOL.Wife don't know about it.Yet!.Saw the rod you made for Centrepin on salmon crazy nice!Shoot some pics of it on here guys would like to see it...Question on the grooving or mortising..I want to make a bigger contoured reel seat to fit my A8 seat like J.C's rods have think a 5/8 fingernail bit will do it do you do this type of motise?

Above color,bronze on bronze only other option is a aluminum clear anodized spool witha dark brown rear..Haven't gottem my hands on it yet but hopefully in the next month .Ray

Marty,the Mykis above only 3 left I believe seller is the original Maker Kieth..Would of grabbed one but they are ported backplate models,still a heck of a reel!!!And buy.Ray

looks like I did good on my Mykiss non ported..just snagged one $375.oo with backing and new 12 # line...used once..

Frog,see on quest you got it ,think Kory /steelheadbum had it for sale before you got it from AK,too bad you didn't see it 2 months or so back think he let it go for 325 still great reel and buy..Reason I remember I got the email pics off the original owner and came close to buying it ..You will be happy with it for sure.Ray

Not yet Greg,got a reply from Milner's and they are putting them together should be pretty soon!!Only 30 made on the first run..Perchin sounds good we should check out the Victory also hear good things about it ,never done well on the E J..Ray

What kind of prices and availability did you find on the Islanders??????Still might hang onto mine ,to hard finding one to replace it with if I need to, great backup reel or to let someone use when I fish with them.Ray
