Gota love my wife

I just had to post this. Sunday I asked my wife what she wanted to do for Valentines Day. After 22 years she always surprises me. She said she would take her gear to work and meet me out on the ice after she got out of work. Well that didn't pan out thanks to the rain, so we did the dinner thing and got her the pink ice fishing reel and rod she saw in a store. She's hooked on fishing and I'm hooked on her.

It's not how deep you fish...It's how you wiggle your worm.

I took (forced??!!) fisherlady2 out on the ice on Sunday...she seemed to have a good time...
She was the only one to catch anything...she caught 4 crappies...I didn't get CRAP!

I wasn't forced ... I enjoyed it, but the cold does settle in quickly. So my ice fishing adventures probably won't be of the all day variety. We did have a good time though, and yes, I did catch the fish but it was a joint effort... so I won't solitary credit for the catches. Same as when we are out on the boat... a caught fish is a fish 'we' caught... about the only thing that gives me a bigger kick than reeling in a fish is watching someone else smiling when they are reeling it in!
