Salmon in Erie?

Are any of the streams on Lake Erie good fishing for salmon? I live in central PA. I fish Pa for steelhead but would like to try salmon fishing. Are the same techniques used for salmon as for steelhead?
Any info, Streams, maps etc. would greatly be appreciated.
Lets fish!!!

Very, very, very few--not even worth targeting them. A couple are caught by accident every year.

I caught a pink out of Walnut about 8-9 years ago. Haven't seen any since then.

For salmon you need to go to Ontario tribs.

Fishing with bait is like swearing in church.

Thanks for the replys. Guess i'll have to try ontario If i want to fish salmon.
Any recomondations where to go in NY.
I noticed the 2 big ones seem to be the Salmon river or oswaego.
Also, a good place to stay would be  a great help save time looking.

Oak Orchard is a big one too.

Like others said very few in Erie waters...My brother caught a big Pink in '08, and I have only seen one or two other salmon in the waters over the years.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I caught one in Cattaraugus a couple of years ago, it was so bad I couldn't tell you what kind it was . I slid it back into the water and told it to go die its all over for you buddy. Believe it or not it still hit a streamer.

There will be days when fishing is better than ones optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
