"Holy Crap!!!" is more like it.  Wow, what a buck.  Hope you whack him soon!

Have you seen that deer before this year?  Got a guess on his age?

Any guesses out there on what his rack would score?

No idea on the age he doesn't appear to be real old. Not grey in the face..Mabee 4yrs old. Never knew he was there.
We zoomed in on the rack and were able to count 11 points on one side and 9 on the other.
Kinda sucks now my hunting partner and I have to act like criminals and hide to go hunt him. His location gets out and we will be screwed. The woods would look like the stop sign hole on Sat. morning.
I'm having to ride 4 wheeler 20 min. so as not to leave a vehicle near by. Hate to have to do that but if the poachers get wind of him he will disapeare...

Well you are looking at an emaciated man. Got the bad news today. An amish man killed him Fri. nite at 6pm.(300yrds from my stands). There are 24 scoreable points. Picture doesn't do it any justice.

Man, not only did they shoot the big deer they took my tree stand. Went to pull stands today(he's dead time to move on) a ladder stand I had just put in the woods sat. morning was gone and there is a pallet(cheap amish tree stand) strapped up in the tree. Now I get to waste valuable hunting time waiting for them to come back and hunt their stand...So I can throw the rotten thieving bastard out of the tree..

Quite sure they are the only ones hunting this area and are the only ones STUPID enough to steal a stand and put one up in it's place...It's a pallet from the sawmill across the road don't know of any white men that use pallets.
Actually it looked quite unsafe. Hope he doesn't fall out of his tree...I may take the troopers down on Saturday and see if he's there. More for their protection, than the taking of the stand. I can not stand a thief. Invariably they will lie about it. #2 on my list of things that really **** me off. Liars and thieves...

Duud!  So sorry for you.  I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to live in one of the most fertile areas of the country/world, both for crops and wildlife, and be neighbors of sort with these "pious" people.  Since I'm not involved, I can't say much specifically about this case, but I don't doubt for one minute that somebody from that mill has your stand.  They're not evil people, by no means, just WAY, way  different.  I've made harsh comments about them before, but they've never done ME wrong, other than encroach on land I have permission to be on and they don't, as well as a few other minor things.  Unlike most of my opinions, my outlook on them is based very little on personal experience but rather on things I've heard.  They have not done anything in front of me that would cause me to doubt the rumors and stories, only to reinforce them.

You should not hate them for taking the deer.  He could have died any number of ways, and he will feed a family, I'm sure.  In this case, though, I hope you take every opportunity available to recover the stand and press charges on the culprit.

    Good luck.

Walked up to the kid that killed the deer and shook his hand and said well done. I hold no grudge against the kid for killing the deer. He was in the right place at the right time and made a good shot. I'm disappointed the buck is dead.(my greed) I would like to have whacked him. I am really POed that someone took my stand. Guess a guy shouldn't get so mad over an old tree stand ain't worth $50. Just the principle of it all I guess.. Got all my whining out of the way time to try and find another buck (maybe his dad)...

Well good news on the tree stand front. Got a call from a young amish man and he returned my stand. Seemed he thought it was another young amish man cutting him off. ( they even hose each other) He took it drug it home and saw my name and number on it and called. He couldn't have been more apologetic.
As much as I like to bash on the amish as I think they are some of the biggest hypocrits on God's green earth as far as hiding behind their religion. They are honest people and as a rule usually will not steal.

The question is...  how can we make that into a competitive sport?

Good to hear you got it back.  Something like that can go a long way to mending fences, as they say.  Now, go find another biggin' and "git-r-done"!

Could he sit down when you picked up your stand.  His father probrably saw your name and number so after an hour with the "switch" he gave you a call to give your stand back.  The dutch men always get the big ones! They shot a 24" wide 21 point up near me 2 years ago with a 40# recurve.  If I can dig up the picture I will post it.
