NEED TO VENT
Hey guys. My wife,son and i decided to go for a peaceful boat ride out at wilmore this evening. We wasn't fishing, just trolling. I spotted lots of fish on the fishfinder and if it was in an area were someone was fishing we let them know. On two occassions though i saw guys who call themselves fishermen keep crappie that weren't legal. One guy even looked right at me then threw one in his bag that had to be only 5 inches. Oh how i wished the warden was there. We have a great place to fish and wantabees ruin it for all of us. What a shame. Other than that it was great to be out on the water.

agree with you russell, we probably seen ya cruise by to load your boat. we were there all night, and it is a shame that people can't pick up the **** they brought with them. i wish the breast are supplied another garbage can or two, but **** pick up your trash!!

its assh@les like that that f*ck up perfect fishing places by not being able to follow simple regulations. when we (bigtrout and i) go out we measure every fish and if its even a little questionable we throw them back. and yes stop being lazy messy $hitts and clean up your dam mess

Ya alot of work was put into that place to make it as nice as it is now. Its a shame that some people cant respect things. I dont fish it much but I do enjoy taking the wife and kids there once in a while.

Yeah i know exactly what you guy mean. It really ****es me off that everytime i go up there i see a soda bottle/can or something floating in the water. I always pick stuff up when im there and throw it away. Then after im done i think to myself why am i doing this, all im doing is helping out a idiot that put the junk here in the first place. Still i always find myself claning up gunk up there when i see it.
As for people keeping fish up there, think its a bit silly to keep a fish that small. I mean really think about it how big much meat are you really gonna get off a 5" fish. Some people are so dumb. I personal dont think i ever kept anything out of that lake acept for turtles, YUMMMM :) and if i would dcide to go for crappie up there i dont i would start keeping them until they were at least 10 or 12" Not worth cleaninging 8 or 9". On top of all of that i really wish people would practice selective harvest. You would see alot more bigger fish if that was the case.
Anyway i finaly made it up to wilmore for a few hours Sunday afternoon. I fished for 4 or 5 hours and had a real good time. I went by myself on my inflatable pontoon boat. I took a trip up the creek at the backend of the dam. I was catching all kinds of stuff. Perch, crappie, catfish you name it. It was a real good quiet afternoon. I had so musch fun i may just do it again nect weekend.

HAHA, thats like telling the nuge to sell his guns!!! Hope your little one is doing good buddy. Hopefully i will see you on the stream up north in the upcoming months, maybe i can show you a spinning rig works also!!

hey buddy, we wanted the dock but it was crowded early, so we set up at the end of the opening by the overhanging tree. caught a couple of perch there and then we moved to the dock when everyone left, fished all night with a lantern. we kept 52 all over 10" we will be out there again on saturday to "sore lip em", if you are talking about the fire ring where the 2 ladies and the stupid little annoying dog was---yes that was us. it would bark and go crazy anytime you moved.

I fished along the bank last night (Fri). I caught a couple real nice ones also caught an 18inch catfish. I wasn't in the keeping mood (lucky fish). I might go out tonight. I'm debating weather to take the boat out or not. Hey bigtrout i talked to some guys at the dock last night. I think they know you.

ya russell, two guys i know were at the dock last night with there girls. we got the regular group going tonight--me--deerhuntingpa--ben--and my brother, let me just say "crappies beware". were getttin there around 8 and going to try and get on the dock for the night, but it has been insanly crowded down there lately.

planning on it, i actually think i talked to you the other night when it started raining. me and josh were hammering them on the dock, i showed ya what we were using, and offered ya some crappies. didnt wanna really clean 7, didnt think it was going to rain. but they tasted good!!!
