Mamma and 9 chicks

She has been showing up periodically with her nine chicks.

Today she went into a full strut position to warn another mother with two chicks to stay from her family. First time I have ever seen this happen. Full tail spread and wings touching the ground.

7 of the 9 chicks. It is so hard to get them all together.

The entire family.

    ive been seeing youn turks everywhere. way more this year than the last 5 years. looks good for the future.
