DECOYS

We will be hunting a field edge tomorrow morning.I been watching 2 longbeards and one hen.I was wondering what would be our best decoy setup? This is what i got i know where these guys are roosting but there is 2 ways they can fly down.If they fly down the way i need them to they will be about 150 to 200 yards from our blind.I watched them tuesday morning only the one would strut but both were gobbling pretty hard.I want there today an they flew the other but when i left at 8 they were double gobbling at a train whistle.

i think u should put any gobbler decoy you have away and just stick a hen out there...theres a good chance that one of those birds is the dominate bird in that area and if u get the other bird to come in he might get scared and runfrom the gobbler because he doesnt want to get his****beat...on the other hand u might be able to get the big bird to come in but idk what he will think about another bird in his area.....just my thoughts..

get yourself one of those "pretty boy" decoys and make a real fan for it... they werent kidding when they said birds will run across a field to beat the heck out it because they think it's an intruder. my dad has had to replace his tail feathers on several occasions and won't leave home without the thing. he throws it out in the field with two hens, one high and one low (mating position)

bought the b-mobile last year and throw i acouple hens out there next to him when i go out.... and it works. had 3 longbeards and 8 hens come right in - killed my bird. Took my brother out and had the same set up... 5 jakes came across the field right in to it- he smoked a jake. Old man had it out and he killed a longbeard that came running in to it... I never thought it would work and do nothing but scare birds... proved me wrong big time. dont leave home without it..  granted there might be cases where it hurts u more than helps but i havent seen that yet
