Long Pine

I use to live in the Fairfield area and fished local lakes and streams and was wondering if any-one had tried Long Pine with any sucess? My trips there in the mid 80's were fair at best and also fished Birch Run. Birch was the body of water that produced the state record Large Mouth. It doesn't even exist now and it was drawn down and the last time I passed the area all I saw was a small stream where the lake used to be. Long Pine is across the road on top of the mountain and is very scenic but was told the last time I tried it, that acid rain had effected the PH and very few fish are left. Very clear and beautiful with few fish is a shame. Any one have any Long Pine comments?
