Main Lake??

Hey guys...forgive my ignorance here, just curious....

Seen it mentioned a couple times now....a guy started an ice fishin' thread under the Central Basin forum earlier this winter...I told him to check out P.I. But now that it's been cold for a while, I gotta ask....

Do guys ever get out on the main lake (Erie) for 'eyes?

Would be a great time to take a quad out to the first trench & jig some up.

How about it, ever hear of anyone out there?

you've crushed my hopes & dreams!

Actually, I did a little research & found this little snippet:

On the Great Lakes, off-shore winds can break off miles-wide pans of ice stranding large numbers of fishermen. Just such a circumstance occurred in Lake Erie in February '09, with 100 fisherman having to be rescued by helicopters, local authorities and the Coast Guard, and one man who'd fallen into the water dying on the rescue flight.

I heard about that, but thought it was in the bay, didn't realize it was the main lake!
