Fly rod blanks

Hey guys,

Does anyone know any sites or links where I can find rod blanks for building a flyrod?  A couple buddies and I are going to build rods this winter with hopefully a maiden voyage to use them after thaw out.  I'm specifically looking for either 9'6, 10' or 10'6 blanks in a 6wt.

Thanks
Mo

so save your breath I could not hear, I think I made it very clear...

google dan craft enterprises, he sells his blanks & they are good
blanks for the money with a great warranty, I have several of
his rods. I built 6 10 footers for our alaska trip & we broke 3 of
them on our trip I got home & called & he sent them out with no
charge except shipping. I also have several of his 9 foot blanks in different weights that I have fished for several years. he also sells other blanks
    & components hope this helps

They deal mostly with bass and float rods but can order you just about any blank you want.  Best prices on the internet although the shipping is a little slower because they don't keep much inventory on hand.  Good service too.  The guy makes nice customs also if you looking for a builder.

In building your first rod dont go over the top on materials. The rod isnt going to turn out as good as you hope. Not saying you wont like it just saying that its not as easy as it sounds. Not as hard as you may think as well if that makes any sense. Look into Rainshadow blanks. Google it and you'll find it easy. Good blanks that wont break the bank. I've got one on the dryer now. I've got a good place to get them aliitle cheaper, pm me if you are interested. Good luck and enjoy!!!!

    Guys,

Thank you all.  I realize this will be very rewarding but at times extremely frustrating.  A buddy and I are going to each build one....hopefully he will be good at what i cant and vice versa.

    Skip,

No, havent made it that far.  Been doing some research.  Ive been devoting my time to tying and hunting.  I am planning on getting this started around January, when the ice comes.  I appreciate all the help and promise to keep everyone posted as I begin the process.
