Blustery Day on Saratoga Lake

We unloaded the truck by the pump house on Fitch Road today around 1:30 just as the wind and snow rolled down the lake. We waited for a few minutes for the worst of it to let up and then headed out. We set up and had 4 flags in the first 15 minutes. One real nice perch and a couple bass. Ended up catching about 15 bass with 3 or 4 of them over 4 pounds. The wind was still blowing pretty good but we were having a real good time with flags going off every couple minutes even if it was just bass. I took a short 30 second or so video just before we called it a day before the wind really picked up. Was funny heading in; first time the sled ever pulled me. Wind blow it sideways all the way in. Here is the link to the video... http://s732.photobucket.com/albums/ww323/X_Wisdom_X/Fishing%20Misc/?action=view&current=WindonSaratogaLake1-28-2010.flv

I was happy to be watching that from home. I've had my fill of that here on the dead sea.

Looks like a cool breeze out there Wisdom. I don't know what you were after, but catching 15 bass is still a lot of fun in my opinion. Thanks for the video. We had an Eagle fly over us at Canadarago last weekend. Like you said, real cool.

Oh, we had a blast! Was one of the best times I have ever had on the ice. Yeah it would have been nice if it was 15 pike or walleye but the temp was about 35 so it wasn't really cold. In fact my buddy kept complaining he was sweating. The only thing the wind did that was a problem was kept filling the holes with snow. That and a couple wind flags ...lol. I'd take a day of action like we had anytime. Was just good fun.
