ice fishing in Lake Pleasant

Anyone know the conditions at Lake Pleasant? nothing happening at Presque isle Bay at all. Thanks.

    I heard from a friend that the ice was good but they didn't say anything about the fishing. Let us know how you do if you go there.

    What type of baits are the best to use at Lake Pleasant often wanted to try there but never have got around to it?

    Don't know how the ice faired this week but as of last Sunday their was 1" crust, 3" or 4" of slush and 2" of white milky ice and 2" or 3" of good ice.
    As for bait just about anything will work, wax worm and grubs,minnows for trout, bluegill, crappie, perch,even the power baits work.
    If using minnows make sure they are virus free!

    Fished from 8am to 11:30am and 2:30pm to 5:30pm caught 6 trout 4 were 14"-15" returned all,numerous small bluegill, crappie, perch.
    took home 4 bluegill and 1-10 1/2" crappie and 1 perch

    south end of the lake off the main parking area.

    ice conditions good about 7 inches of ice got 3 rainbows and the other guys with me got 3 rainbows used grubs and orange jig
