Ice thickness and report on Howard Eaton

Can anyone tell me the ice thickness on Howard Eaton and if anyone has been catching anything.  Was thinking about trying there Saturday.  When I want the weather to be cold in Erie it gets warmer and when I went it to warm up in Erie it stays cold.  Erie just must not like us take its fish.  If no go for Howard then I'll stay at a local pond out here in Girard.

    stopped there yesterday.  there were tracks out there but ice is messed up.  there is about 1.5in of frozen snow on top of about 7in to 9in of slush on top of 4 to 5 inches of mostly white ice.  tracks stopped about 1/3 of the way out from the south east boat launch.  the further out we went the worse it got.  we changed our plans and went to tamarack after seeing that ice.
