Oldsquaw Pair

Here's a pair of oldsquaws I just finished for a client. They were taken last year on the Niagara River.

extremely good work. ducks seemed to be one of the harder critters to master, ive seen alot of bad ones. i really want a nice male wood duck mounted, if i get one i might have to track ya down! : )

Don't know if this will show it or not. It was a nice mature bird and the tail was around 8 inches long. MOST of the birds we kill in the Niagara in January are nice mature birds. Oldsquaws seem to mature earlier than most other divers and puddle ducks.

I saw the 2nd to last week 1 male but had to be immature, small length in tail, then the last day, Saturday, a pair (male & female) buzzed by me when I wasn't paying attn and he had a nice long tail. Of course they landed about a 100yds out. But always next year. The 2nd to last day, I shot a pintail which the other guys unloaded on after it hit the water and tried to get up. UGH, so the 1 guy took it to get mounted. It may have had 8 shells after I shot run at it...
I can't complain for the ducks I seen at the PI this year, the amount of mallards I saw was incredible to past years. I do have 1 ringneck I shot on the last day going to Tim Schloss real soon.

I don't put rates on the internet BT. Send me a PM or give me a call. There's lots of options and rates depend on your imagination.
