Does weather affect icefishing?

I found this interesting to share.. http://fishing.about.com/od/icefishing/a/ice_weather_fishing.htm I agree it does make a difference but to what extent compared to open water, I'm not sure.. i think overcast warmer days ususal offer better fishing compared to sunny days.. anybody else care to share their opinion? I think it is an interesting topic.

No question that barometric pressure has a major influence. On my tuna trip this year a monster front was due to hit the grounds on friday morning ...  after a very slow two days the fish went nuts before the front .. you could literally smell dead baitfish in the air from the feast that was going on under the surface .. and it was lock and load fishing.

Read the lake george ice fishin reports and they say the second or third day of stable pressure really gets the lakers chowing.

Here is an article I found last year on the Effects of Barometric Pressure on Fishing...
    http://www.quickoneplus.com/fish/articles/page.asp?page=barometric
Gives a chart of what to do for different pressures.

I find the 3rd and 4th day of like weather conditions is a good time to hit the water for either ice or open water. chief

It was freezing lines and freezing holes both sat and sunday .. 1sr day all on jigs, 5 5 inch crappie ..one i ged to a hunfry bald eagle who was waiting some 60 ft away.. amazing bird up close! surprisely jigged up one eye 15 inches , went right back in swingingB,we got the tip ups today, between the two , i had three flags with one being a ding eye (to which i just had to feed my feather friend) my friend pulled up one flag a smb.. he wouldn't feed the other national symbol waiting.. i tried jigging something for my nirds but the sunset.. both days were slow .. can't wait for mu local perch lakes to open! yes barameter means a whole lot I questioned the theory many times over. 8 inches of ice plus by the ramp.. 40-30ft was where we had few but most hits
