Burden Lake

Final the wind let up so I got out on Burden this afternoon. 7 inches of ice [clear] marked fish in every hole but they just sniffed and went about their business. Did manage an 18" pike but that was it. A group of 4 guys using tip ups iced a few pike and perch. I'll give it a go again tomorrow. Chief

Hi perchinc. I was there on Wed. of this week. picked up a nice bag of gills. I haven't hit a perch there at all. I'm headed to Proctors tomorrow for a show my daughter gave us tickets for. I have a lot of chores to do during the day. Good luck and maybe we can hook up during the week. Chief

I went out for a couple hours friday afternoon. Tried the point to the left, 10 holes, no fish. On way back, stopped in "the spot" for a half hour. ONE hole, non-stop action. Pulled out a dozen real nice bluegills and a keeper perch. Could have probably pulled out a bunch more, but I only had a half hour left. Plus I'm too lazy to filet that many.
Very happy with new Fiska tungsten jigs, they show up on the Vex great for a tiny jig.   I used one in glow white with a spike or mousie.

Burden has been slow to give up it's bounty as of late. I have only managed a few blue gills and a couple of perch on two outings. the wind picked up again this afternoon so I packed it in. I'll try some new waters next week. chief
