Kerry, that first pic is awesome! Looks more like open water than ice!

Duane - that truck cap was a great investment , huh ?!


Dude that cap paid for its self 100 times over in my book. We were able to fit Lances shanty and my own in the truck with no problem and everything stayed dry, until we got to the lake of course. Once the weather cleared it really was a great time, would have been better with some more fish but hanging with the crew is always fun.

It was great to see old friends and meet some new ones at Loon Lake.  I didn't see anybody on ANY body of water on the ride up in the rain, but knew this wouldnt be canceled. Sure enough I round the bend and theres our crazy bastids  out there in force. 
The fishing was pretty slow for most of us, but we had fun chasing our stolen baits and flying shantys. The chowder was real good, thank God we didnt have to depend on our pannie catch for food.

On a sour note, I ended up with about 14 oz of Labatts in my bag, I'll never get that reek out

it was quite a day in my book .. new & old the icemen of fishusa had the lake to rule..

it just seems to work well early on there. keep your eyes pealed for Winter Jam II sometime in feb. Now there is just so much hardwater & so little time.
