Got my St. Croix 15' ready to go, matched up with a Paine Falls. I'm going to try to get it out on the Ohio, before the water gets too high. Fishing will be slow, but it will be good for keeping up with the casting.

I believe I've seen Trout About post some pics of his rods on various forums.  I would give him a shot also.  His work is top notch.

    Why a 15'?

Cause I have a 13' and I want more .  Float rods are like boats......you always want another 2'.

There's a few spots on the Yough that I fish and I'm reaching the limits of the 13'.  The 15' should give me the extra length for the drift I want.

I wanted to build one on the blank that John Collina designed and had CTS build, but didn't want to spend $360 for a blank that I couldn't wiggle first.  Tried to get set up wholesale with him, but he has a $1000 min. first order and I couldn't put out that kind of $ and possibly be stuck with a bunch of blanks I can't sell.  15' rods aren't all that popular here.....yet.  There's someone from OH that's selling CTS float blanks, but it's not the one I want to try.

I did build a bass rod for a customer on a CTS and I have 3 more to build (personal stock).  One of them is a one-of-a-kind prototype.

If I'm ever in JC's neighborhood, I'd stop in and cop a feel.  If I like, I'd buy one then.
