My gortex rainwear needs reconditioning

I have light gortex rainwear and although some ten years old, the pants and jacket are still relatively waterproof, that is to say the membrane looks good and no tears etc. but,I was getting wet during some heavy rains this season around the stitchings and seams. It is apparent that my apparel needs reconitioning so I looked online and found something called "revivex" and something else I'm going to try called "seam sure" both are mcnett products. Anybody ever use this stuff or simliar products?

Went to ramsey outdoors and got new laces for my simm boots and picked up a tube of aquaseal which should be ideal for the seams..also got a 12oz. bottle of revivex for my rainwear. On the simms site, they have a video repair tutorial which I thought was pretty cool demonstration, I have a pretty good idea now should ever need to repair my simms gortex waders.

my buddy used the revivex on his rain jacket, and it worked really well, bone dry once again.

backin all the rain should have really brought those fish out of the esopus, can't wait to get back down.

rj, yes according to the instructions, It went well as I used them today and it really does work, I get the rain beads again. I also used a q-tip and did a sec. coat on the seams and tumble dried it a second time. Couldn't convinve my friend to go sr, he is bow hunting now.

JK, was up mon and today.. monday I thought I was going to smash them.. I only got a small brown at the mouth! lol I had very bad luck , it looked very good the water but nothing was hitting my bt eggsacks. I was so desperate I was carrying both my ultra egging noodle and a spinning outfit and still nothing but that one dink on a gold bluefox #1 and that was below the chimney hole!!! shssh! I thought at least 30 lil bows or something!! lol, i gave it my best.. today I was there hitting all the pools with the eggsacks and black pather martin.. Believe me it was tough knowing they are in there. Wish I went to the weir earlier, the gate was open and they were spooning a few. I seen them jumping hr before dark but couldn't get any luck there either!than I snagged a friggin rapala on the rocks lol well i got busched out fast after dark.. had a sub at hobbo deli and a hot coffee for the drive home. I bet it can only get better with this rain forecast and now the gate is open .. I can't believe I didn't even get the little bows this time in those pools.. hit alll the major pools and worked them deep too.

nice report backin, it does seem like it should be good now but sometimes in the fall it is really hit and miss.
