Didn't want to get off the water today!

But I only had a few hours. I couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise today. Calm, warm, and the scenery was great. I was able to trick a few fish into biting also.

I started out vertical jigging, due to the floating leaves, sticks, and weeds fouling me up. Didn't get the size as a few days ago, but some decent smallies.

Then I found some clear water to troll in, and picked up a bit more.

And finally, I stopped at a spot that I've passed way too many times. I only had 15 minutes left to fish, and picked up these 4 on my 1st 4 casts. Then the wind picked up all of a sudden, and I couldn't coax another 'eye to bite. I'll definitely put this spot in my memory bank.

Hopefully we get a few more nice days before the boat goes into hibernation.
Thanks for looking.

I know what you mean Hook. I got to take advantage of the nice weather for an hour or so after work today. I only managed to boat one smallie, BUT it was a bruiser!

Measured in at 19 1/2 inches!! Weighed about 3 1/2 pounds!!

Actually no not this go round. The water was covered in leaves but there was this one open spot near a downed tree that I like to hit on my way up creek. I usually throw a frog around the trees but I was tired of missing fish. So today I went with a Zara Spook and it did the trick. He must of been a hungry smallie cause he blew up on it first and missed it and came back to finish it off!

Perchy, I hijacked Jimmy's thread on the Hudson River water levels with those pics.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.
