Another evening trip

Got out for another evening of trolling crankbaits. Not as many eyes as last trip, but a solid, delicious pike for me and an 'eye for my buddy Jon.

Solid pike indeed....  Sweet fish man!

You guys are finding some really healthy walleyes this Fall...  My lake has shut down on 'eye for some reason, but the younger smallmouth are voracious these past three nights...

Those walleye coming suspended around 25ft or so?

Without being able to use my downriggers I feel crippled during the fall walleye bite.  I need to get my boat back, man.  A standard rapala at 27ft was lethal where I fish for them.  Those are some beauties!

Nice fish there Lance. Last night was an awesome night to be out. I got out this morning looking to troll up a few 'eyes. No luck there, but I did manage a few nice crappie and undersized perch.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

I'm so jealous of you guys. I wish there was some good pike water near my house... Oh, well, I guess I have to wait for ice fishing...

     Been mailing any shoe-bombs lately?

Man you guys are crushing the Crappie, yet I can't seem to find a SINGLE ONE so far this Fall...  It sure looks like you've got 'em figured out.

My original response read:  "Looks like someone was finally able to post bail for you"

But I didn't want to throw it on too hard with a fellow Red Dragon like Hook...  He's way too cool.

I bet you guys didn't know there are at least three Cortland State alum on this board, did you?  Trivia time!

Anyway- Nice fish Hook!!!  (Don't let the Feds look in the freezer- they might think the fillets are body parts)

You can lay it on as hard as you'd like Jimmy. I had to think twice about posting that picture. It's basically the result of an all night poker game followed by a wake and bake session, with lingering effects of being on an extra long weekend from work. I'll have to shave for work tomorrown night. One more day of fishing 1st though.

    Who's the other Red Dragon?

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

Most Dragons have red eyes...  Or at least they used to in the mid 90s...

I would never embarass a fellow member by revealing to the world that he had a state school education, so just keep your eyes and ears open and you may hear a few "Finoch" stories or "Cortica Jug" recaps now and then.

    Great fish Doug...

Hey Deadfish- we've got a really solid number of Jerry fans on here.  I bet among just the gang that I know here we've covered at least 100 shows coast to coast.  Ironically, it is kind of the sole reason why I threw that first party last summer.  Almost everyone on the site kept chiming in about the Dead, so I figured it was about time we call a meeting of the "Deadhead Anglers Society" and have a little tourney...  Even the guys who aren't as into the music thing had comments like "I ain't no Deadhead, but I sure hung out with a lot of them", etc.

The rest, as they say, is history.  Even the non-music guys understand the connection though.

I loved that.  Good music surely corsses a whole lot of borders, but it just seems to 'fit' with angling to me.

I am still ****ed that Betty Ford killed Jerry though.

Waaay more. I've got over 100 myself. And I'm willing to be that RJ has me covered easily. They'd be in MSG for like 9 shows every September during my run, and I'd be at most, if not all. Throw in the old Brendan Byrne, Giants Stadium, Philly, DC, Rochester, Foxboro, and Buffalo. Unfortunately, I never made it to Saratoga.

And yes Lance, we'll be hittin the ice hard.
